The Owls on Campus

Ahmedabad campus had more birds... of many kinds but somehow, Indore campus seems to have many owls... of many kinds.
I tried clicking them many a times but owls are more agile than we may imagine or want them to be. That is how this first pic got all bad. Therefore, I traced them back to their morning's resting place. The two later pics are those ones.

I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings

But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams
his shadow shouts on a nightmare scream
his wings are clipped and his feet are tied

so he opens his throat to sing

ऊँची इमारतों से मकां मेरा घिर गया

कुछ लोग मेरे हिस्से का सूरज भी खा गए

और मैं भी भूल गया...

तुम्हें भी याद नहीं और मैं भी भूल गया
वो लम्हा कितना हसीं था मगर फ़ुज़ूल गया

जैसे बारिश के बाद
बबूल मे आ जाते हैं
नये-नये काँटे

दिनों को
चीरते-फाड़ते
और वादों की धज्जियाँ उड़ाते हुये
आना

आना
जैसे मंगल के बाद
चला आता है बुध

एक आशीर्वाद

जा तेरे स्वप्न बड़े हों।
भावना की गोद से उतर कर
जल्द पृथ्वी पर चलना सीखें।
चाँद तारों सी अप्राप्य ऊँचाइयों के लिये
रूठना मचलना सीखें।
हँसें
मुस्कुराऐं
गाऐं।
हर दीये की रोशनी देखकर ललचायें
उंगली जलायें।
अपने पाँव पर खड़े हों।
जा तेरे स्वप्न बड़े हों।
