Nature Walk at IIMA

The nature club of IIMA, Prakriti, organized this year's first nature walk around the campus on July 27, 2008. It was great photo opportunity, fun, and learning too - now I know that every flying being is not a bird and that every green thing is not either tree or bush.

The pictures of nature are aplenty and before I post those here, I've to sort through and pick a few. But the natural beauty around was not the only photo-worthy thing. Here are a few examples:

This is the partial team
(Some had to leave due to classes on a pleasant Sunday morning - Thats IIMA)
We had:

Sincere Learners

Who were even ready to intrude
Curious Observers

Amused Onlookers

And some Cute Ones too

Budding...

बारिश में कागज़ के फूल

This was clicked in CISH, Kakori, Lucknow while I was waiting for some appointments. Nothing extraordinary but I liked the picture a lot - the lush green gardens getting even more beautiful in rains.

An unknown bird, A strange activity

As pointed out by Rahul Sheel (FPM, IIMA), this is a female cuckoo. Thanks for the info :)

Just imagine this...

This owl flew inside my dorm and then sat on the tree branch adjacent to my dorm's arch. I could take only three shots, as the red flash light might have offended him away. But it was an awesome shot - clicking an owl from barely a meter away. It was simply great. Here are all the three pics.

So I got it today :)

Yupp!!! I got my Camera today - Canon SX 100 IS with 8.0 mega pixels and 10X Zoom, something that I wanted the most. It's been some 4 hrs. since I got it and since then, have been fighting with my cam - got battery chamber stuck once, shot some arbit pics and videos, and tried some of the settings and modes. Now I'm gonna get back to my studies but soon, I'll begin posting some (hopefully) good pics.

Thanks to Chhoti Didi for the wonderful Camera :)
