प्रेम वाला लाल? 

या मित्रता वाला पीला ? 

 

केवल आकर्षण वाला गुलाबी ? 

या उम्मीदों वाला केसरिया ? 

जवाब नहीं मिलेगा, पता है। 

इसीलिए शायद, 

विरह वाला सफ़ेद ही ठीक रहेगा। 

है ना?

मेरे मन के आँगन में इक चिड़िया सी तुम

देख रही हो मुझको यूँ प्यारी चितवन से 

दूर देस से आयी हो और दूर बैठ कर 

खेल रही हो अपने मन से मेरे मन से !
