कहाँ क्या हो रहा है, कहाँ किस का सिरा है, 

कुछ समझ नहीं आता, सब जहान सिरफिरा है

मेरा सो जावे नहीं

और चला भी गया

बीत गया सब कुछ

कितनी सुबहें बीतीं हैं
उस बालकनी में
कितनी यादें उस गलियारे
से निकली हैं
कितने लम्हे इसी सड़क पर
बुने गए थे
कितने शख्स गए आये
और बीत गए हैं

जिस दर पर थे 

पाँच बरस के किस्से बाँचे 

उनको गुज़रे भी अब 

शायद बरस अट्ठारह बीत गए हैं।  

वसन्त बड़ा निर्मम समय है

इस समय में सब कुछ है 

और कुछ भी नहीं।  

ऐसा कब होगा जब 

इस सूर्यमुखी से खिले हुए 

तुम भी हो यहाँ ?

तुम्हारे बिना 

वसन्त बड़ा निर्मम समय है।

तुम तक

बारिश में धुली एक सड़क की तरह

मैं अक्सर तुम पर से गुज़र जाना चाहता हूँ।  

ऐसा हमेशा होता तो नहीं

शायद हमेशा याद भी नहीं रहती ऐसे।  

लेकिन हसरत का हमेशा होना अगर कुछ मायने रखता है

तो मैं हमेशा तुम्हारे सफ़र में हूँ।

अपने अपने addiction

A few days back, at home, spent about a day and half arranging and rearranging my small library. Back to office, again spent about 3 days in rearranging the books in better divisions and in more orderly fashion. I think those 4-5 days of hugging my books were among the few days of my life that I spent well.

There are kinds of addictions. Mine is books. Long back, I used to stamp all my books with this stamp. I still have this although haven't used it in more than a decade. 

मुझे कुछ भी समझ आता नहीं अब

मुझे कुछ भी

समझ

आता नहीं

अब!

ये पीढ़ी

ये गाने

ये बातें

तराने

ये किस्से

फ़साने

ये रौशन

ज़माने

बड़ी दूर मालूम 

होते हैं सारे 

अजब अजनबी 

वक़्त के ये इशारे  

कई बार लगता है

सब हद्द में है

बढ़ाऊं अगर हाथ

सब जद्द में है

मगर याद पड़ता है

गुज़रा ज़माना

औ' फिर याद आता है

सब छोड़ आना

तो अपने ज़ेहन को 

मैं फिर तोलता हूँ

तजरबे पुराने

नहीं खोलता हूँ

नई उम्र को कुछ

नहीं बोलता हूँ !

नए वर्ष की नव आशाएं

बीते वर्षों में न डूबें, नए वर्ष की नव आशाएं 

दोराहों पर अब न ठिठकें, कुछ आगे की दिशा दिखाएं 

बहुत उल्लू बनाया इस बरस ने

तुम्हारे प्रेम ने

पाने की पीड़ा ने

औ' तुम्हारे दरस ने,

तुम्हारी ज़िन्दगी को 

जीत लेने की 

चरस ने, 

नचाया 

और उड़ाया 

और घोंटा 

दम हमारा,

बड़ी मुश्किल से

बीता 

और जीता,

बहुत उल्लू बनाया

इस बरस ने !!

अब सब कुछ तुम पर छोड़ दिया है भक्तों ने हे बजरंग बली।

शनिदेव की दृष्टि किसी भी अभियान में विलम्ब करवाती है।  

अब बहुत हुआ प्रभु, यह दृष्टि हटाओ और अभियान को आगे बढ़ाओ।  

जागो शिव-शंकर

और त्रिशूल उठा इस सृष्टि का उद्धार करो !

समर शेष है...

दृग हों तो दृश्य अकाण्ड देख,

मुझमें सारा ब्रह्माण्ड देख,

चर-अचर जीव, जग, क्षर-अक्षर,

नश्वर मनुष्य सुरजाति अमर।

और केवल कुछ बड़े मन्दिर ही क्यों, जिन पर आतताइयों ने अधिकार कर लिया है। 

ऐसे अगिनत मन्दिर भी हैं जो केवल खंडित - विखंडित रह गए हैं। 

हे पवनपुत्र, अनुरूप शक्ति दो।  

हे माँ लक्ष्मी, अनुरूप सामर्थ्य दो।  

वाग्देवी की भोजशाला भी बाकी है

इस दमित, हीनता-ग्रसित समाज में चेतना, विद्या, और बुद्धि का प्रकाश करो माँ।  

...काशी बाकी है

There are more to reclaim!

 We have struggled peacefully and won back the Ram Janmbhoomi. However, the struggle does not stop for the civilizational reclamation. Ram Janmbhoomi was not the end but the beginning only.

This is Ang Kor Temple from Kamboj (Kambodia). The communists under Khmer Rouge tried destroying this temple. However, like the Sanatana, the temple still stands strong and under restoration. Similar stories needed from thousands of other places too.

राम मन्दिर आन्दोलन को बचपन से देखते, गलियों में नारे लगाते, कारसेवकों पर गोलियाँ चलते, और गोधरा में कारसेवकों को जलते देखने के दौर में जब वो उम्मीद स्वप्नवत् हो गयी थी, तब केवल एक ज्वाला थी - ६ दिसम्बर १९९२ की। वो दिन जिसने दमित पीड़ित हिन्दुओं को भी आशा दिए रखा, जिलाये रखा। हमारी पिछली पीढ़ियों ने जो संघर्ष किया था और जो सहनशीलता दिखाई स्वतंत्रता के बाद भी, उस संघर्ष और धैर्य का फल है जो सनातन संस्कृति ने जीता है श्रीराम जन्मस्थान मन्दिर के रूप में। श्री रामलला विराजमान की जय हो !! 

I heard the first news of the demolition of the disputed babri structure in Ayodhya ji on 6 December 1992 at exactly 11.30 AM. 27 years later, exactly at the same hour, here is a squirrel's tribute to the grand cause of Shri Ram.

seeing world's largest temple complex

the ANGKOR WAT.

Reaching before dawn, seeing the sunrise there, 

and seeing the ancient Hindu majesty unfold...

And interestingly, despite the recent history of communist violence 

and damage to many ancient monuments, 

Cambodia has built newer ones too.

This was a recently built Hindu-Buddhist temple.

The dances are not as great as Indian classical dances

but they are equally ornate.

Also, the dancers are called Apsara (meaning a divine nymph).

Another beautiful aspect of Cambodia is 

their art and craft work.

The range of artifacts and artisans in the workshop

and the details by the excellent English speaking guides

made us want to buy so many of their pieces.

The Samudra-Manthan legend is so well-spread through the whole country,

you can find instances and references to that anywhere...

like we found it on a river bridge, where the railing is designed as

Devs on one side and Danavs on the other.

Cambodia has had a history of communist violence and a civil-war. 

As a result, you would find such groups in many places - 

people who have lost limbs in landmine blasts.

Now, they play music, sell CDs, and 

advocate the cause of landmine ban. 

It was tragic, horrific, and angering all at the same time. 

And yet, typical to Cambodia, they bore their wounds with much laughter and spread joy.

Outside India, I absolutely loved Cambodia. 

It is a beautiful country - clean, safe, sweet, and 

full of range of amusements like nowhere else...
